Volunteering Policy
At London Soccer Academy in our youth after-school soccer program volunteers play a crucial role in creating a positive and enriching experience for our participants. Here's a brief overview of our soccer volunteer program:
1. Role and Responsibilities: Soccer volunteers assist in organizing and leading soccer activities and drills during afterschool sessions. They support the coaching staff in fostering a love for the game, teaching fundamental skills, and promoting teamwork among participants.
2. Qualifications: While prior coaching or playing experience is beneficial, we welcome volunteers of all skill levels who are passionate about soccer and working with youth. Volunteers must undergo a background check over 18 years old and complete any necessary training or orientation provided by our program.
3. Commitment and Schedule: Volunteers are asked to commit to a regular schedule, typically one or more days per week for a specified period. This consistency helps build rapport with the participants and ensures a smooth flow of activities.
4. Support and Supervision: Our coaching staff provides guidance and support to volunteers, helping them understand their roles and responsibilities. Volunteers work under the supervision of experienced coaches to maintain a safe and engaging environment. Benefits: Volunteering with our youth after-school program offers volunteers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young athletes, develop leadership and communication skills, and contribute to the community in a positive way. Volunteering is mandatory for students to graduate from high-school in Ontario and they must complete 40 hours of community hours to receive their diploma. We value the dedication and enthusiasm of our soccer volunteers, recognizing them as valuable contributors to the success of our after-school program and the development of our young participants.
